Christmas Orders

A Festive Word from His Lordship

Good cheese, good cheer, and a little peace of mind this Christmas. Christmas is coming, the cheeses are ripening nicely, and it’s time to get your festive order sorted. You’ll find over thirty of my most popular festive cheeses available, along with two set cheeseboards — one suitable for vegetarians, the other for meat-eaters. (And don’t worry if you don’t see your favourite — there’ll be plenty more available from my Cheese Chariot and at Frome’s Weekly Market in the run-up to Christmas.)

A quick note: some cheeses are in short supply, so it’s worth getting in early to avoid disappointment. I won’t be holding back any of the most popular lines (such as Stichleton and Baron Bigod), so depending on demand, these may only be available through the website. Most cheeses are offered in 250g portions or multiples thereof. Where other weights are shown, that’s simply because of how the cheese needs to be cut. All weights are approximate, but I’ll do my best to be as accurate as possible. Every cheese I supply will be in good condition until at least the first week of January, and I’ve chosen those that should be at medium to full ripeness for the festive week. As a rough guide, allow 150–250g of cheese per person if it’s the main part of a meal, or 100–150g for an after-dinner board. Crackers and condiments will also be available to buy when you collect your order.

Pre-orders open 17th November and close 15th December, with collections available on 22nd, 23rd and 24th December from The Station, Frome (BA11 1RE).

So — get clicking, so I can get cutting — and take the worry out of Christmas cheese.

Season’s Greetings,
His Lordship
